Design from the real world.

Not from the screen.

I'm Cristhian Heredia Neira, a senior product designer with over 10 years in fintech and B2B SaaS. I work at the intersection where design has to be accountable: with engineering, with the business, and with users who have little time and even less patience.

At Kushki I built and scaled the design team from scratch while the product grew in speed and complexity. At Finicast I designed systems that simplify financial decisions for advisors who can't afford UX errors. Two different environments, the same principle: designing without understanding the business is just decoration.

What's different

I also run four businesses of my own: a web design agency, a legal education membership for LATAM, a WordPress maintenance service, and a creative studio. I don't say this to impress — I say it because it forces me to make product decisions with real resources, real clients, and real consequences. That changes how I design.

Current focus

Right now I'm building a point of view on what it means to design AI-native products, from LATAM. Not from the hype — from the real question: what happens to the user experience when the system starts making decisions alongside the human.

I live in Ecuador, move with a camera when I can, and think better away from the screen. The latter directly influences the former.
